Special Feature: Favorites on the Start Menu
I recently was at my daughters house for vacation and used her computer to check my email. When I clicked on Start, Favorites were in that menu. I could click a Favorite right there, and it would open up Internet Explorer at that website. I really like that feature. I would like to know if I can add this to my Start menu and how to do it.
Answer: Yes, you can. Here is how:
Right click on a blank spot on your taskbar. Left click on Properties in the resulting menu. You will now see the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window; click on the Start Menu tab at the top.
Make sure the Start Menu option is selected, not Classic Start menu. Click the Customize button.
The Customize Start Menu window will open. Click the Advanced tab at the top.
In the Start menu items section in the middle of the window, click to put an arrow in the small box to the left of Favorites menu. Click the OK button.
The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window will display. Click the OK button to close this window.
Click Start and you will now see Favorites on the menu. Point to Favorites and a menu will open listing all your Favorites. Click on the Favorite to open Internet Explorer at that website.

Tips & Tricks: Shortcut: Emailing Pictures in Outlook Express
Here is a quick way to attach a picture to an email:
Open the folder that contains the picture you want to send.
Right click on the picture. From the resulting menu, point to Send To and then left click Mail Recipient.
A small window will open, asking you whether you would like to make the picture smaller or keep it the original size. Click the small circle next to Make all my pictures smaller (then the picture will send faster and be easier for the recipient to download).
An email window will open with your picture attached to it. Fill in the address, type any message text and send as usual.
Note: This tip will only work in Windows XP.

Today's Topic: Undeliverable Email
Question: Almost every day I get notices in my email about returned or undeliverable email. I never sent email to the person who the notice is from. What is this about?
Answer: This could be from either a virus or a spammer.
Your first step will be to upgrade your antivirus program if you have not done so recently, and then run a complete system scan.
If your computer has no viruses on it, then these emails are coming from a spammer (a person who sends junk mail). Good news that you do not have a virus, but bad news that you got on a spammers list.
Spammers will use someones email address as their return address because it makes them harder to track down. Unfortunately, there really is nothing that can be done to stop them.
