Special Feature: Print Only Part of a Page
Most Windows programs allow you to print part of a document instead of the whole thing. To print part of a page, highlight the part you want to print by moving the mouse pointer to the beginning of the section, holding down the left mouse button, and moving the mouse to the end of the selection. Make sure it's still highlighted - the text will be white on a dark background.
Click on File to open the menu, click on Print, and choose Selection in the Page Range area of the dialog box. Click the OK or Print button.
In some programs, the Selection choice may not be in the first Print dialog box. In that case, look for a button that says Options. Click on it; you should find the Page Range area in the resulting dialog box. Click the OK or Print button.
Only the part of the document that you highlighted will print.

Tips & Tricks: Frozen Computer
If your computer freezes up, hold down the Ctrl key and the Alt key with one hand and press the Delete key with the other. This will open the Task Manager window. Click the Applications tab at the top and you will see a list your currently open program. If the freeze you are experiencing is caused by a malfunctioning program, you will see the words Not Responding next to that program. Click the program to select it and then click the End Task button at the bottom.
That will close the malfunctioning program and will usually unfreeze the computer. At that point, it is usually a good idea to save your work in any open program and restart the computer.

Featured Computer Term: Toggle Keys
Question: What are Toggle Keys?
Answer: Toggle keys are keys on the keyboard that have one or more functions. The Caps Lock key, the Num Lock key and the Scroll Lock key are examples of toggle keys.
The Caps Lock key can be pressed to turn CAPS LOCK on or off, depending on whether you want to type in all CAPS or not. The Num Lock key can also be turned on or off. If you press it to turn it on, you can use the number keypad on the right of your keyboard to type in numbers. If you turn it off, you cannot type anything.

Today's Topic: Viewing Fonts
Question: My computer has many fonts on it and I would like to use different ones in some of the documents I create. I am not sure how I can see what they look like though other than typing them. Is there an easier way?
Answer: Yes, there is. Click the Start button and open Control Panel. If you see the Fonts icon, double click to open it. If not, click on Appearance and Themes, and then open Fonts.
Double-click any font icon to see what that particular font looks like. A window will open with the font name, author and copyright info. Below that you will see an example of the font in lowercase, uppercase and numbers and symbols. You will also see different sizes of the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog, which has every letter of the alphabet.
