Special Feature: Getting Help with your Yahoo Email
If you have questions or are having troubles with your email, you can get answers and help from a Yahoo team member.
Sign on to your Yahoo account and then go to your mailbox. In the top right corner you will see Help; click on it. Next, scroll down and click on Contact Us.
On this page, you will see three options to choose from: view the help pages, contact customer support or ask other Yahoo! users. Click Contact Customer Care - reply needed.
You will now see several choices. Click on the one that best describes the problem you are having. If you are having a specific problem with your email, your best bet is probably Yahoo! Mail Errors and Problems Form.
This will take you to a page where you will have to provide some general computer information. This will help the Yahoo tech diagnosis your problem. You will have to choose an issue type and then write a few lines to better describe your problem. When you are done, click the Send button.
You should hear back from them within a day or two. Be patient though; they do get a lot of questions to answer.

Keyboard Shortcut: The Right Click Menu
If you like the convenience of giving commands with the right-click menu, but do not want to constantly move your hand back and forth between the keyboard and mouse, you will like the menu key.
On most keyboards, the menu key is found to the right of the spacebar between the Alt and the Ctrl keys. It has a picture of what looks like a box with horizontal lines through it (that is supposed to be a menu) and a small arrow pointing up and to the left.
Press the menu key, and the right-click menu will open. Use the up and down arrow key to maneuver through the choices. For submenus, use the right or left arrow keys. To give a command, press the Enter key.
Note: if your computer does not have the menu key located as described above, take a look on the top right of your keyboard.

Keyboard Shortcut: Bold
Question: I love your keyboard shortcuts! Do you have any for bolding text? And for removing bold from text, too, please.
Answer: To bold text, select (highlight) the text. Hold down the CTRL key, press and release the b key, and then release the CTRL key. Click elsewhere to unselect the text.
To remove bold, select the bolded text. Hold down the CTRL key, press and release the b key, and then release the CTRL key. Click elsewhere to unselect the text.
Note: The same steps will work if you want to italicize or underline text. CTRL and i for italics; CTRL and u for underline.

Today's Topic: Alphabetizing the My Documents Folder
Question: The My Documents folder always opens with the files sorted by oldest first. I change it to alphabetical order by filename, but it always changes back to the old sort the next time I open it. How can I set it so it always opens in alphabetical order?
Answer: Open My Documents. Click View on the menu and then click Details.
Sort the contents by clicking on the heading you want to sort by. To sort alphabetically by name, click on the Name heading. (If it sorts into reverse order, A to Z, click it once more)
Once you have the folder set up the way you want it to be, set this view as the default view for all folders. To do this, click Tools on the menu, and then click Options.
The Options window will open; click on the View tab at the top. On the View page that you now see, click the button that says Apply to All Folders.
Click the OK button to save your changes.
The My Documents folder will now be in alphabetical order every time you open the folder.

Question: Word Wrap and Capitalizing
I use Microsoft Word to type my letters. When I continue a sentence on the next line, Word always capitalizes the first word on the next line. Why is it capitalizing a word in the middle of a sentence? Can this be changed?
Answer: Word is capitalizing the word because, when you press Enter, it thinks you are starting a new paragraph. All applications of this type are programmed to do that.
All word processing programs will automatically wrap the text to the next line when you are typing and reach the right margin. There is no need for you to press the Enter key until you get to the end of the paragraph.
Type this way, and you will see that the words at the beginning of each line no longer get capitalized.
