Today's Featured Computer Term: User Group
A user group is a group of individuals with common interests in some aspect of computers. Some user groups cover nearly everything with subgroups (called SIGs) for more specialized interests, while others concentrate on a particular area, such as computer graphics, or a particular application.
Nearly every major city in the U.S. has many user groups that meet to share ideas. Joining a local user group is a particularly good way for computer novices to get free expert advice. Check with your local library for a list of user groups that meet there.

Today's Topic: An Alternative to the Double-Click
Let's face it, double clicking is not the easiest thing in the world. If you have trouble using the double-click mouse function to open a program, there is an alternative: right-click the file, folder, drive or whatever you're trying to open. From the resulting menu, select Open. This method gives you the same result.

Progressive Learning Series: Envelopes
Word can print an address on an envelope.
After typing a letter which includes an inside address, click Tools, Envelopes and Labels. Click the Envelopes tab.
The inside address from the letter will be in the delivery address box. If necessary type a return address, or click the Omit box to remove the return address (use this feature for letterhead envelopes). Click Print.
Note: See your printer manual for directions on envelope feed.
