Today's Featured Computer Term: e-zine
Short for electronic magazine, the name for a web site that is modeled after a print magazine.
Some e-zines are simply electronic versions of existing print magazines, whereas others exist only in their digital format.
Most e-zines are advertiser-supported but a few charge a subscription.

Today's Topic: Taskbar Troubles
If you can't see the Start button and need to shutdown the computer, hold down the Alt key and press the F4 key. This will start the "Shutdown" process.
This also works to exit just about any Windows program-any program that is open and is the front most window. (If you don't have any programs open, it will shut down Windows)

Progressive Learning Series: Selecting a Group of Words
You know how to use the mouse, in conjunction with the keyboard, to select a group of words. You can also use the keyboard and mouse to select a group of sequential words in your document.
To do this, simply follow these two steps:
1. Position the insertion pointer inside the word at one end of the group you want selected. 2. Click on the word at the other end of the group while you are holding down the Shift key.
Note that this tip selects words if, and only if, you have Automatic Word Selection turned on. You can check this setting by viewing the Edit tab on the Options dialog box.
