Special Feature: Copy a File into a New Folder
When you want to move a file from one folder to another all you have to do is drag it with your mouse. But what if you would like to leave the file in the original folder and put a copy of it in the new folder?
To do this, drag the file with your right mouse button. When you release the file, you will be asked to chose if you want to move, copy or make a shortcut to the file.
Click copy and the file is copied into the new folder. Take a look in the old folder and its in there, too.

Featured Computer Term: IP address
An identifying address for a computer on a network, such as the Internet. Every computer that communicates over the Internet is assigned an IP address that uniquely identifies the device and distinguishes it from other computers on the Internet.

Today's Topic: Change Desktop Fonts
Question: I just bought a new laptop, which I love already. However, the names of the icons are very small. Can I make the text bigger so that it is easier for me to read?
Answer: Yes you can. Here’s how:
Right click on a blank area on the desktop. From the resulting menu, left click on Properties.
In the Display Properties dialog box that you now see, click the Appearance tab at the top.
Towards the bottom of the dialog box, right below Font size, you will probably see the word Normal. To the right of that is a small down arrow. Click on that arrow, and then click on Extra large.
Click OK and you’ll see the text on your icons will be much larger and easier to read.

Question: Windows XP Inactive Icons
I have Windows XP on my computer. Every so often I get a message that says I have inactive icons and it wants to remove them. I don’t want to remove any of the icons because I may use them sometime. Can I stop this annoying message from coming up?
Answer: In its attempt to make things easier for a computer user, Windows XP has some automated features. One of them tries to help you keep your desktop neat – by removing icons that you haven’t used for a long time or never used at all.
It can be annoying. You can turn this feature off; here’s how:
Right click on a blank area on the desktop. From the resulting menu, left click on Properties.
In the Display Properties dialog box that you now see, click the Desktop tab at the top. Click the Customize Desktop button.
Towards the bottom of the Desktop Items dialog box that you now see, click the box to the left of Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days. By clicking on that box, you will remove the checkmark that is in there.
Click the OK button. That returns you to the Display Properties dialog box; click the OK button again.
Now you won’t be bothered by that message again.
